before you start this post let me warn you not to have high expectations regarding photos of this day, as i realized the only photo i took of the grand canyon itself is the one above. i blame it on this dude:
the cutest puppy i ve seen. he was walking around, playing, and while the majority had their lenses pointed at the canyon, i was focusing on this awesome dog. i got to hold him for a little bit - there s even a polaroid of me holding it where i look like a 5 year old on christmas morning.
the grand canyon was impressive though, and no amount of pictures would ever been able to represent what you feel when you are there looking at it. feeling so tiny and ephemeral.
we stopped in Sedona on our way to Surprise and saw the amazing red rocks - though, once again, i have no pictures to prove it - and saw the chapel of the holy cross (and the ginormous house in front of it, that apparently belongs to some billionaire - with extremely bad taste).
im wondering what happened to me this day. went to the grand canyon and took pics of a dog. went to sedona and took pics of the airport. maybe my photographic eye just needed a break from nature..?
